The National Testing Agency (NTA) has unveiled the notification for the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE 2024), signaling the commencement of the application process for aspiring candidates. Interested individuals can now submit their applications on the official website exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE/ before the deadline of December 16 at 5 pm.
AISSEE, a crucial examination for securing admission to Class 6 and Class 9 in 33 Sainik Schools across the nation, is recognized as a fundamental pathway for students aspiring to join esteemed institutions like the National Defence Academy and the Indian Naval Academy. These English medium residential schools are affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and are dedicated to grooming future cadets for esteemed training academies.
Amidst this development, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has recently sanctioned the establishment of 19 new Sainik Schools, further expanding the reach of this esteemed educational network. The admission process for the academic year 2024-25 in these newly established schools will also be conducted through AISSEE 2024.

Eligibility criteria for Class 6 admission stipulate that candidates must be between 10 and 12 years old as of March 31, 2024. Notably, admission for girls in Class 6 is now available, subject to seat availability and adherence to the same age criteria as for boys.
